Reborn International Outreach is a 501c3 non-profit organization established by Jim Sherlock in 2009. Founder Jimmy Sherlock wanted to help children in need by creating opportunities (through an entrepreneurial spirit) that would generate funds to pay for the children’s education in extremely impoverished areas around the world.
Reborn Orphan Fashion began with a pilot program in Nakuru Kenya in 2014 and is now expanding to 13 impoverished countries. Reborn Orphan Fashion gives orphans and impoverished children a way to invest into their own futures through art. Every child who participates in this project, regardless of whether or not their art was featured on a product, will receive a scholarship that will be used for university fees, trade school, or a business venture when they graduate high school. Up to $9 of your $15 sock donation goes directly to this cause.
Reborn has partnered with Galactic Technology to produce mineral and alkaline drinking water. Reborn sells the water in 5 gallon bottles to generate funds for the poor. Reborn is now field testing this water project in the Dominican Republic where 3000 non-denominational churches, as well as, the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo have agreed to sell Reborn water. 50% of the proceeds goes directly to the needs of the poor in that country. Reborn plans on taking this to other countries after this pilot program proves to be successful.
Lastly, Reborn collects used laptops and medical equipment in order to build computer science centers and health clinics.
